Built in: on-device processing, protected track only, fail-closed toward more cover when protection is uncertain. Expected of you: honor the room’s face policy; do not demand unmasking or treat privacy as a dare; ask before recording anyone; leave politely if the bar is not for you.

On prejoin, pick a Mask Mode or camera off.
Confirm the local preview, then join.
Change mode or turn the camera off anytime.
Leave without drama if the room no longer fits.

Lock-In

Why it helps

A structured, time-bound check when people in a live room want to coordinate a real-world meetup — face expectations, mutual confirmation, and progress check-ins.

Rules and expectations

Built in: anyone can decline or withdraw; withdrawing closes that Lock-In; it only includes people currently in the room and expires automatically. Expected of you: treat Lock-In as coordination only, never as consent to sex or a debt; no guilt after a decline; honest check-ins; your own in-person check-in still matters.

First-timer steps

Be signed in and present in a live room with at least one other person.
Open Lock-In check and start or respond.
Confirm, decline, or set face expectations — all valid.
Use check-ins as plans change.
Cancel anytime; confirmation is planning, not permission for sex.

Focus Mode

Why it helps

When a Lock-In is active, Focus Mode keeps attention on meetup coordination so the plan does not get lost in unrelated browsing.

Rules and expectations

Built in: optional levels; leaving Focus is an intentional choice, not a trap. Expected of you: do not use Focus to corner anyone; respect stop and cancel; keep coordination clear and kind.

First-timer steps

Join or confirm a Lock-In that enables Focus Mode.
Follow the overlay for status and check-ins.
If an action is gated, stay focused or leave Focus on purpose.
Update progress honestly; cancel when done.

Watch Together host playback

Why it helps

The host plays a video from their private library so everyone in the room can watch the same clip together.

Rules and expectations

Built in: only the host controls playback; viewers keep their own volume and can leave; a consent reminder sits before Play to room. Expected of you: share only media you have rights and permission to show; warn before extreme content; no forced watching; ask before saving or reposting.

Sign in and host a live room.
Open room chat Media / library.
Upload or pick a short video you may share.
Check the consent reminder, then Play to room.
Pause, resume, or stop; guests watch or leave as they like.

Privacy-preserving nearby discovery

Why it helps

See people and live energy around you without publishing your exact pin — distance bands and offset map positions.

Rules and expectations

Built in: others see offset position and distance range, not your exact public GPS pin. Expected of you: do not reverse-engineer addresses or show up uninvited; nearby is an invitation to ask, not a hunting license; stop after blocks, ignores, or clear disinterest.

Allow location (or use Retry if you denied it).
Browse nearby profiles with curiosity, not entitlement.

Guest join for public rooms

Try live rooms before creating an account — lower friction to see that the product is real.

Each room states whether faces are required, masks are okay, or people should ask first — expectations before the camera turns on.
